I have never had a nightmare that gave me a headache before...

Journal - 5/29

I just laid down. I have been so tired this week but have been dodging my nightmares. If I feel myself falling into a feeling of inescapable sleep, I wake myself up. On Sunday, I went to sleep and instantly could not wake up. There was no escaping a detailed and symbolism-laced mental cinema that would forcefully play out in my mind.
The moment I went to sleep, I dreamed I was in a gold beige vehicle that kept transitioning between a sedan I drive and a commercial truck. My mother (deceased) and my nephew's special needs daughter were riding with me. The morphing vehicle slid into a body of water and wound up on its side. Water filled the car halfway. I got out of the vehicle and noticed the vehicle had now settled on being a big beige rig truck. I stood on the side of the frame and reached in to get my mom. She was adamant about not getting out. The water was frigid. Mom's arm went from red to purple to near necrotic black in minutes. She wouldn't leave the truck, and my niece wouldn't go because mom wouldn't get out.
I sat up with a severe migraine. Gripping the left side of my head, I could feel my pulse throbbing through veins running near my eyes.
My family asked if I was okay, and I immediately blurted out the entirety of the dream.

....My girlfriend tells me that her friends were trying to help a friend in a bad situation. The friend is elderly and started to create circumstances that would make it impossible to relocate her.
She was leaving behind a home, and problems began to bubble up surrounding traveling with a pet. As soon as we could fix a problem, another would rise up. The last issue was trying to travel with the pet. If the pet could not travel, the person said they would not go.
After bending over backwards, everything was set in motion for the relocation to begin.
The friend would arrive by airplane and was suppose to be picked up by a friend. The friend that was suppose to pick up the person relocating, I had the nightmare about, he drove a commercial freight truck. This friend was having problems with anxiety and had not been clear about how bad his fears were. After I spoke about the nightmare, he changed his mind about picking up their friend.
He gave the task to someone else.
Everything worked out, but d*mn, I hope these nightmares are not going to be painful and immediately alarming like this anytime soon or ever again!
