I always loved how their method of getting away with violence was "Egh....make 'em robots..." xD

Loved that show otherwise, but everything being a robot was distracting as all hell. They could've at least made all the robots look like robots.

It's interesting looking back at this, there were several episodes where it was implied Jack killed people who were biological and not robots, but it doesn't show anything, just him swinging his sword and them lying on the ground.

Only one problem with this, but Fighter McWarrior explained it better than I ever could:
"Arrrrrgh! Robots is not born! Theys are made in the facterys of metal and death!"

Looking at this show now as I'm older, I loved the art style and the story was pretty interesting. The Scottish warrior with a machine gun for a leg was probably my favorite character.

That show was the shit! I always wondered why any organic creatures barley have scratches on them but Jack can mutilate the machines.

Ya know that's gotta be one of the most questionable things I had about Samurai Jack, why was every monster or person a robot?

just because the network would not have otherwise allowed Jack to slice them with his sword. They used robots as a proxy for guts and blood.

and considering the first episode where he slaughters an army of scarab robots and is drenched in oil....

Worse: the episode where he encounters a family of metal-eating hillbilly androids who are driven into a frenzy when their endoskeletons are exposed, stripping each other's artificial skin and destroying themselves.

I think there was one time that a monster had actual biological guts, but it was Aku as a woman for some reason killing it.

Yeah, this sums it up pretty well. One of the most kickass action cartoons of all time, except for the fact that every bad guy is a robot (or very rarely some ethereal creature or undead) so that they can keep it PG. Still one of the best shows ever on CN in my opinion

In the 3rd panel it's hard to tell what you're looking at. I guess he cut it at the waist and the eyes are just out of frame. I also looks like he cut it at the neck and it has a 2nd mouth with possible dirty implications.
