That's the advantage of DLSR's. You have more chance of capturing lightning in a 30sec. shutter time

I was just hoping that with the aperture I had, the ISO I was set at, the 30 sec shutter and the brightness of the lightning didn't over expose the photo.. It came out perfect!

I actually had JUST shifted the camera to the right, as I noticed the storm moving. I hit the shutter, and the lightning struck. I was super excited!
