Description The assignment for class was to draw a tree that was a metaphor. I've gone back and forth about whether to include the linework for this in the drawing and am, at least here, opting not to.

Textures on the tree and ground come from photos I took of mud and tree bark respectively.

Update: Added more variation to the leaves and the roots, and continued work on the bark since it turned out I had a week longer to do this than I thought.

Thanks. I do too. As it happens, I was off on the due date and thought it was due yesterday when in fact it's next week. I got some good advice from the professor, though, and should be able to improve it some more for the actual critique, mainly in the area of defining the leaves and giving them some variation in color.
