Speedpaint with Shadow of the Colossus in mind. 2 hours, maybe. Photoshop CS (though no special brushes used)
I guess it can be viewed as water or a desert.
Most of the good SotC fanarts have the colossus really big and Wander and Agro really small. Now... role reversal.

Sometimes it starts off really craptastic looking and it gettings better and better o wo It just started off as some generic clouds that I did and blew up from there.
