Speedpaint with Shadow of the Colossus in mind. 2 hours, maybe. Photoshop CS (though no special brushes used)
I guess it can be viewed as water or a desert.
Most of the good SotC fanarts have the colossus really big and Wander and Agro really small. Now... role reversal.

i think you should've used blues, greens, greys, etc to depict the sky like SOTC does to really be true to the atmosphere sotc tries to create.
but i like the silohette of argo and wanderer

There really is not enough! But my heart is warmed by the fact that what fanart there is is quite good. I actually never played ICO but I imagine it's pretty awesome.

Haha. Well, ICO and SoT are vastly different in your goals and the setting and storyline. But you're still pretty much trying to rescue some girl (except in this case you have to pull her around everywhere with you), and there's a great sense of epicness that's consistent in both games - unlike Wander, who gallops about practically the entire continent in search of gigantic monsters, ICO's just stuck in one castle. Granted though, it is a MASSIVE castle.

The phalanx was my favorite too. I beat it in one try (because it's like, impossible to die).

I'm really glad I'm distinctive. I'm trying to expand myself on backgrounds a little bit. The beams of light in this one were really difficult to do (but I think it was a success here), and I'm really weak with foliage / any type of archetecture / any kind of background that requires significant detail.

That was one of the most epic battles in SOTC and I'm almost certain that I had a moment like this (only less sunset-y and more like "holy crap!"). Awesome rays of sunlight you captured there.

And Wander's manliness dropped by twenty points on that sad day. I figured that it wouldn't be the actual battle, just wander wandering around and seeing one of the colossus in the distance, roaming about (they gotta do something with their time, yaknow)
