Description Art Credit/Made by:   Thank you again for drawing these for me!

NO I am not shipping myself with him, by the way.
He's a skeleton MONSTER, which most seem to forget. He can sweat and move his facial features to an extent. MAGIC! c:
I don't care. I'm such trash and will burn in hell anyway, so away I go!
I DO NOT DRAW!

Hmm, how to start this off...

So, you might be wondering who the heck is reading the book, but I will tell you if it isn't obvious. That ugly (not the drawing, heh) person is me. Before I got sucked into what is called Undertale, the smallest mention of the game had me scoffing it off because everyone was blabbing on about how great it was and why people should play it. That stuff annoys the shit out of me by the way, but I often ignore it.

After a huge amount of time has passed and at my own pace, I still didn't get the game.

BUT! Instead of playing it, I watched my favorite YouTuber, Jacksepticeye, play through it, the true pacifist route. It is then I noticed the story and characters (I have to say Jack's or Ross's voice for Papyrus is canon in my head now)... It was then that I was hit by a truck. It dawned on me not a single game ever made me feel this way, not even the single tear-jerkers like Last of Us or The Walking Dead game. This game had a deeper meaning that I never knew anything could have and that, that is storytelling at its best.

I am an emotional wreck because of this game and fandom (hahaha). This game has moral decisions better than any other game I have seen and it's subtle. It's not in your face, but the characters you come across subtly say things you can or don't want to do in the game, and if you read it over like you might do most games, it's going to hit you like a train later, and I mean it. Not sure why anyone read through it fast and mindlessly, though, because at that point don't bother to play the game, ever.

The story, like its fandom (as I have come to realize VERY FAST), is sweet at first, but then you notice and realize something is...off. The undertones are dark, very dark, at least, to me and it has shaken me mentally and emotionally. I have finally played the game and this game can do a 180 and be VERY SCARY mostly because IT KNOWS. Kinda silly isn't it? Right??? It's...just... a game. It's hard for me to write this when I know some people might not understand or have yet to learn about it, so sorry if it's weird or spoiler-ly.

You have been warned.

This game breaks a lot of fourth walls... And if you play it again, it won't be the same as the first run through. The story is dark because once you get past the, I will admit, barely lighter tones, those fourth wall bits will slap you in the face. If you're not paying attention you will miss it, but how can you? Dare say you pay close attention and do something 'different', you will see it. As you know, Sans is a very important character despite how he comes across in the game and I have to say he's not my favorite just because he is important, definitely not. He's a lot of things, so is the story, but I cannot sum it up with this one picture and this is already a wall of text, so you're going to have to wait till Part 2...If you want and care. You always have a choice.

As odd as it might sound, let's just say I would do anything to make him happy if he was real... He deserves it.

The game is ART, pure and simple. Toby Fox (the creator) is a genius! It's the closest to a self-aware game I've ever seen. It succeeds in making you care and love the characters so much, that doing the genocide route after a pacifist one can actually be emotionally draining. Like the game punishes you for taking away the characters happiness. Heck, I haven't even played the game yet, but watching others play it has the same effect on me as it would if I WERE to play it.

Some people say this game is overrated, but I disagree. The fame is highly deserved

It is and I wholeheartedly agree with you.
The game does punish you, and it's effective than I can say about most other games.
It made me think of this wall of text to bore people with, heh.

The game deserves the praise it gets, indeed.

I really like how this is not only written (the backstory/description), but how it's one of the best portrayals of how the fans relate to the characters in a real way. I think if this were some timeline/AU/what-have-you, you'd have a very good friend in Sans to cheer him up through all of the malaise of living through endless shitstorms.

Good on ya~

Awww T~~~T , now I'm getting all emotional again.

Some people might think it is silly to cry over a game, its story and its characters just because it is a game. I don't think so... to feel this way is almost like feeling like reading a too good of a sad book, or movie even. It connects us entirely and the thought provoking that the game does is staggering.

It makes me so happy for me to read that...
I wouldn't want anything but his happiness for all the things he has been through, whether it be nightmares or broken memories.

Thank you so much for this comment...
And thank you for taking the time to write it as well. It makes me feel a little bit better <3
