Description
This is a tutorial on my basic colouring method, which being the bare basics, doesn't involve as much brushing as I actually do. Everything else though simply involve using brushes, so the principle behind it remains the same. Of course, being done for a tutorial, the original lineart was very simple and the colouring is very basic. This is of course the method I use, so other people who've used photoshop much longer than I have will no doubt have different methods which are better. This is simply the method I'm most comfortable with at the moment.
If people wants to I can upload the lineart I use for this, but I think there's enough linearts floating around DA already.

I'm just saying this for critisism but i didn't find it very helpful as I barely know what adjacent means let alone layers! you have to remember your audience is only going to be people who have no idea (or not a lot) how to use these programs so you have to speak in lamens terms!

Layers is the most basic term for it. Or would you have me translate everything into traditional art and call it cel? Or do I have to start with "Press the on button on your computer?" and call layer "the thing that comes up when you press that little button in the corner of that little frame in the corner?"
Sorry if I sound rude, but if you don't understand the terms then there's nothing I can help you with - you need to learn these yourself. If you want to use computers you should know what a mouse is. Same thing goes for photoshop. There is assumed knowledge in my tutorials that you at least have a basic understanding of photoshop, since otherwise the tutorial would be just way too long, and too tedious for most people. I am not trying to make a book on what photoshop is; I am trying to help people see what it can do. It's up to them to first look at photoshop and figure out what it is.
Sorry, but yeah, I do some part-time teaching at uni (albeit in chemistry and not art) and it does get to me when the students expect me to do everything for them. Sorry if I offended you.

Ok sorry it was just constructive critisism, you can ignore it...
And no, not offended, just surprised.
