When I first posted this piece one of the biggest compliants I had was that the "full sizephoto was so small. So I've finally posted a larger version of Mr. Jason Behr.
Out of all my drawings his is one of my all time favorites. I simply love his eyes.
As you all know eyes are a big thing for me. The eye must be right or I'm unhappy with the piece. So I'm just stoked about this portrait.

Done entirely with an Ebony pencil on Bristol Board.
Faces facinate me especially the eyes. A lot of attention and care is given to them.

Wow, this makes me think I need to start working on Bristol board. This is just fantastic, and goes to demonstrate the fact that capturing the eyes of your subject truly does tie the whole image together - I've always felt that since the eyes are the window to the soul, they are the window to a drawing or painting. Once you capture the expression of the eyes right, the rest of the picture just seems to come together around it - which you've certainly done here.

Nicely shaded and he has excellent rugged features. The shading is exquisite and the highlights are perfectly applied. I do think that his eyes are not consistent but its hardly noticeable.
