Description just thought id make a tut today, as i was working on the piece which is shown at the bottom of it.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. It's an easy method that seems to give great results, I am going to give it a try soon (Of course I'll credit you ) I just hope it doesn't make the whole thing look as if the lights were on the atmosphere, rather than the surface If you don't mind, I'll add you to my watch, since you do have a great gallery!

Thought i'd dropped in a comment when I fave'd. Guess not But Hey thanks for this.
I found it very helpful although I didnt use it the way it was designed to be used.
[link] to my Spiderman piece I just finished. Rather than use it as city lights I used it as a 'Night Sky' effect under some rendered cloud effects.
Also added a link back to your tut on my description. TYVM.

Your welcome its a nice an easy tut to follow (which is good for me ) and produces really good effects though your starfield tut is probably better for what I did with it
