This is excellent, I learned a lot. ^^ What's your opinion on using colored clay instead of using the one color and then painting it, though? I personally am really bad at painting, (that and I love having lots of colors of clay lying around XD) but is it easier to do it this way?

Yes, definately. If you use colored clay, you will end up with somewhat of a toyish result, you will never get all the different shades using precolored clay.
But its all about what you prefer. To me the more colors, the better, but some people might prefer different things, and I respect that.
For lifelike sculptures, use paint.

Lol I've done a little bit...but there was one thing i didn't quite get how does the turpentine make the folds look like that?

It dissolves the outer layer of sculpey, allowing you to move it around and carve it out with your paintbrush.
