Description

Amazingly enough, this is actually a Sonic-based OC. Its called a Black Parasite and is a member of the Black Arms race.

*Made them smaller

Info
The Black Parasite is approximately 5 inches long.

The Black Parasite latches on to the necks of its victims by sinking its four mandibles into the skin of their upper neck, which it also uses to secrete poison into them. The bottom two mandibles secrete poison which keeps the victim in a sedated mental state and the upper two allow the parasite full control of the nervous system.

When the Black Parasite has climbed the neck of a victim, it will burrow its eight legs deep into the skin of the victim, which will allow the parasite to remain firmly held in place on their hosts.

The six holes on its back (three on each side) allow for a variety of self-defense mechanisms should outsiders attempt to remove it from its host by force. The upper hole fires a difficult to breathe poison cloud, the bottom hole fires a sedative heavily similar to that used to sedate their victims, and the middle hole can straight up impale any who touch it. They will generally lead with the sedative or poison defense and only resort to impaling those who refuse to retreat.

The two small stingers on its tail and burrowed deep into the neck of their victim, which not only tightens their hold even more, but is also used to allow the parasite to drain the blood from its victims. Small amounts of blood are mixed inside the body of the parasite, which makes its poisons more potent. This means the blood of its victims are also the thing keeping them in control of the parasite.

On the back of the Black Parasite's back is a single (and its only) eye. The further the eye is closed, the more transparent the parasite is, with full invisibility being achieved if the eye is fully closed. However, keeping the eye open allows the parasite to effectively have eyes in the back of its head.

When the Black Parasite fully controls its host, it will be able to perform borderline any action the host can. With its only limit being that it doesn't have access to the intellect or memories of the host, it can fully make use of any functions the host has, which include speaking, all usable appendages, and even super powers. With the proper host, this thing can be a massive threat.

Without a host, the Black Parasite is no harder to kill than a common bug.

Since Black Parasites are so reliant on host bodies to survive, they are quick to claim the first living creature they can find as a host and use that host to assist in locating a better one. Former hosts will suffer no real long-term effects, though they may feel woozy after the Black Parasite disconnects. They seldom remember much about being the host of the parasite, as they were sedated the entire time.

While the Black Parasite does not gain the intellect or memories of its host, they do gain access to the emotional complexity of their host's vocal cords, and are able to perfectly blend in by speaking with the correct amount of emotion a more intelligent being such as a human would speak with. Though how accurately they portray the human itself is fully up to them.

Black Parasites cannot infect those with Black Arms blood in them - such as Shadow - or creatures fully lacking a functioning vascular system.

They do not actually require sustenance to survive. Feeding on the blood of their hosts merely strengthens their toxins and allows them better control over their hosts. It is not required for survival.

If the host of a Black Parasite dies, the Black Parasite will not die, unless the host died of something that would unavoidably kill the parasite too - such as an explosion or being crushed under a heavy object.

Black Parasites have no genders.

Black Parasites also do not have complex personalities. They will attempt to simulate the personality of their host, but in most cases they behave in a cold, unsociable, disinterested manner.

Black Parasites can easily identify the hosts of other Black Parasites from a distance. Some Black Arms will be able to sense the parasite, but for those who can't, the Parasites must find a way to communicate to their allies they are as such - most commonly by turning around and displaying themselves attached to the backs of their hosts.

If the eye of one is blinded, they can still see through their hosts eyes.
