The Caretaker Shocktrooper Division was a secret project dating back to two months before the First Order-Resistance War, the Caretaker Nomadic Alliance, back then were just called the Caretaker Remnant, wanted better soldiers for just in case an enemy faction decided to, and were able to, board one of their vessels. The Shocktrooper program was initiated but due to the New Republic's destruction at the hands of the First Order the Caretaker Remnant disappeared for one year. In that time other projects like Project: Ranger were to create the Caretaker Nomadic Alliance's Caretaker Ranger Division. In this time period the finalisation of the Shocktrooper project commenced, creating the Skocktrooper Division.

Tasked with leading assaults, protecting important people, leading the defence onboard ships, even sometimes taking a Gunner's position (althought the Caretaker Nomadic Alliance's Gunners were much more proficient).

The Caretaker Shocktrooper Division, a branch of the Caretaker Marine Corps, was introduced as early as two weeks after the First Order-Resistance War, they were sent to take key shipyards and stations for the Caretaker Remnant in the early stages of the Reformation Period, which was the twenty years before the Second Remnant War.

The Shocktroopers were very capable fighters, even using vibroswords that use reverse engineered tech from Praetorian Guard weaponry. The Caretaker Shocktrooper Division saw regular deployment in very hostile areas. Even behind enemy lines sometimes. The Shocktrooper Division made excessive (but not exclusive) use of the UV20 Helldiver Dropship, which could carry 24 troops, 12 sitting 12 standing comfortably, had a forward Dual Medium Repeating Laser Cannon turret with a 360 degree firing arc, two missile launchers on each wing and was space capable, although not Hyperspace capable and even needed to be carried to other planets sometimes. the helldiver Dropship would be piloted by two pilots.

After the Second Remnant War the Shocktrooper Division would be deployed alongside the Ranger Division to eliminate hostile Second Empire remnant factions, most notably Galactic Ascendancy loyalist remnant factions in nearby sectors, meanwhile the Caretaker Nomadic Alliance expanded it's territory.
