WHEW!!!After being asked so many times, "howd you do that??" I decided to show you all just how I do it ^^
This is part I in what I think will be a three part tutorial..

By the way, you wouldn't happen to know any tools I could download for GIMP that would be the equivalent of the patch tool and the liquify tool in photoshop? It's the only reason I didn't manip our noses.

Great work here in presenting this. I've been procrastinating on making a tutorial of my style forever. This is pretty close to how I start things. I'm glad to see that what I showed you has worked for you. I particularly like the way
Lately I've been including eyebrows, or at least some indication of the their 'former' presence, as I find that eyebrows are one of those distinct human features you want to keep to some extent as they help convey a certain character and emotion in the face as a whole. I just realized that it's not a bad idea to take a look at whole Whoopi Goldberg pulls off eyebrowlessness.

I use Photoshop Elements, so I don't have the patch tool. Does the clone tool work just as well?

hmm, yes.. I think the clone tool would work just fine.well for the smaller bits like blemishes or something.. but for an entire eyebrow..you might have some patterning caused by the clone tool.. you might wanna select a smooth section of forehead, hit ctrl-j which makes your selection in a new layer, them move it over the eyebrow, merge down then clone the lil edges..
