This is why I love nature. Just look at these colours and pattern!

Yeah, mother nature sure does a great job... Well, most of the time that is. Some of her creatures have the looks that only a mother could love; ticks for example.

Oh yeah, those too! I hate that sound... and those itchy bites!

This might be the reason my character hates vampires?

Beautiful little snake, although she wasn't an Arabesque. They have connecting, thin saddles that form a sort of "lattice". Sorry that you lost her, though.

Thank you. Being a super salmon genes, her pattern is alreafy affected by that as well, her tail had the typical markings of an arabesque. The father was an arabesque and several of her siblings had the typical markings. The breeder was pretty certain she was an arabesque as well that because of her specific tail markings but to be 100% certain, we would have to breed her and see what the babies would be, as it is a dominant trait. I trust the breeder in his insight about that, though. He has had many of those 'low marker' animals that proved to be exactly what he had predicted. Too bad we won't be having any of those babies, thoug.
Ah well, such is life.
You have/had boa's too?

Yes, I used to breed Boas and I've owned several since I was 12. I'm over 50 now, so I've had Boas for most of my life. I currently only have one, a Kahl albino female. I had to place the rest when I was forced into early retirement, I guess you could say. I'm getting to the point, physically, where I really can't care for large Boids, due to a degenerative spinal condition.

Oh I'm sorry to 'hear' that! It must be so frustrating if you're forced to give up such a passion. I wish you all the best and I hope your Kalh-girl stays happy and healthy for many years to come!

Is this a pet? I have a friend that has a ball python. I had no idea a snake could be cute!

Yes, she was my own pet. Unfortunatly she died from a liver-infection at a young age. I still love her photos, though. For some they are just the perfect pets; no hairs to cause allergies, no barking, no scratching, they eat once every 7-14 days, they don't need to go out and they are drop-dead gorgeous.

Awww, I'm sorry.
Despite all those great things you've listed, I prefer cats. Big surprise right?

It's ok, it's a shame but those things can happen.
Big cats... I thought you were more of a dog-person. I love big cats, and the snow-leopard is definitely my favourite. Even though they might have a little competition; there is a zoo near where I live, that has a pair of Persian leopards... those are also gorgeous in real life.
