The Sakiyan Commander Rajs Hudr was part of a species whose brain was nearly twice the size of a Human, with portions devoted to sensory input and processing that were superior even to those in the brain of the Bith species. This paired with the species infrared vision, as well as highly acute and motion-sensitive peripheral vision, aural and olfactory senses were considered nearly supernatural by other species, as they allowed a Sakiyan to track and detect days-old odors and faint noises and strength of 150 percent of a Human meant that the Sakiyan bounty hunter Rajs Hudr was well known way before the Separatist Crisis. Because they Sakiyans were one of the few Hutt Space species to resist conquest and invasion by the Hutts, both the Republic and the Separatists tried to get them on their side. That the Sakiyans had fallen into an economic dependence on their galactic gastropod neighbors when the Hutts took controlling interests in Sakiyan technology companies that specialized in repulsorlift engineering on the homeworld Saki, as well as Sakiyan colonies worlds such as Sakidopa, Sakiduba, and Sakifwanna. A bounty hunter and assassin like many in his pride and clan, Rajs Hudr hated the Hutt and loved every chance he got to act and operate against them on a mission. Considering himself a highly valued hunter, he viewed most of the galaxy species as grass-eaters and only a few other predatory species worthy of his or overall Sakiyan respect. Wishing their industrial homeworld could become independent from the Hutt for good and with the Confederacy of Independent System interested in the excellent Sakiyan repulsorlift technology, for their tanks, transports and ships, as it was lighter and more efficient then most. Eager to keep his species and homeworld independent once more from both the Hutt and the Republic, Rajs Hudr hoped the Saki system and colonies with their between 100 to 500 million inhabitants would be best of to join the Separatist Alliance, which was why he offered Count Dooku his service as an assassin, scout and bounty hunter. He also hoped that Sakiyan scientist who worked as contractor for the company Arkanian Microtechnologies re-engineer animals, a process that rendered its subjects stronger and more docile could pursued to put these services to better use under the Techno Union.
He and some fellow Sakiyan soldiers formed the Sakiyan Volunteers and employed as a militia, military unit and body guards for the Separatists on multiple occasions. Similar to the Sakiyan Tarnese Bleyd who served as an admiral in the Republic Navy, Hudr became active serving the Separatist Military as a Commander during the Clone Wars and secretly would work with Prince Xizor to undermine Darth Maul’s control of the Black Sun as well as the Hutt control of galactic crime to let a pro-Separatist Black Sun faction under Xisor join the Confederacy instead. Because of his former contacts, abilities and knowledge, Commander Hudr was used for the Separatist Intelligence in these shady and illegal activities, that also included founding and supporting gangs, space pirates, smugglers and other criminal groups within the Galactic Republic and the later Empire to use their slow bureaucracy and corruption to weaken the enemy from deep within. At the same time Commander Hudr lead a series of skirmishes and raid against Republic supply lines and depots, to further devastate the enemies overall economic power and abilities, to increasingly worsen their situation and make his intelligence criminal allies like local crime lords, smugglers and space pirates have an even larger opening then during the Republic Crisis before the Clone Wars. This combined strategies from two angels actually proved dangerous to the Galactic Republic, especially in the South of the Galaxy were the Republic and later the Empire had quit a hard time. While in the End the Republic Navy and the Imperial Navy put an End to most of these criminal groups and their operations. Even despite him having often inferior numbers, Commander Hudr proved his superior intellect and skills when engaging with Republic or Imperial patrols alike by outflanking and outsmarting them, sometimes with ugly tricks like using mines or smuggling ships filled with explosives as rather unconventional, but quit well working tactics of his own. Seen as a Space Pirate himself by the galactic Republic and the Empire, to the Separatists he was a hero and legal captain and commander of naval forces.
