Description
Hey guys- as promised; here is how I go about creating a realistic-looking Tesseract/Cosmic Cube from the Marvel universe!----------------
Source Images (courtesy of CGTextures.com)
RoughTexture.jpg: img844.imageshack.us/img844/87…
Fireworks.jpg: img687.imageshack.us/img687/10…
-----------------
I have also rendered up a few more angled cubes using Photoshop CS5's 3D feature. Feel free to use them as a base too! img96.imageshack.us/img96/2208…
I used the same techniques to make my Tesseracts in the following deviations:
(Except this one turned out better- I had more time to work on it and think about it haha.)

Hmm, maybe instead of the rough texture, you could use random noise and weavesilk.com for making your own texture, after all this is how the actual tesseract looks like: goo.gl/mZ1XkO

I tried making the tesseract as well. Not as good as yours though. As said before you work is fantastic.

This is so awesome! Thanks so much for making this tutorial. I'm in the process of trying my hand at it, actually. I have a question, though. It isn't about the process so much as it is about photoshop. Whenever I get to the step where you add the blue in (the first time) my lines never stay white. I've been trying to figure out why they change (to a red-ish color), but I can't seem to find it. If you have an answer that'd make my day!
Thanks so much, again!
