Description
The point when all life ends, and the very begining to when life can start once more.Been working on this piece for a while, so I hope this is a nice intro into me working on art again. I know I haven't submitted anything in a while. My life kinda feels like my artwork at the moment. Anyway I hope you like it and all the work I poured into it.

This will be the print version of Alpha and Omega.
Im sorry its taken so long for the print, but I wanted the piece to be perfected
before I send it off to Expose as well as Prints.

I love the concept behind this, the fire and explosion, aswell as the main planet look great. But the moon look more like its behind the planet, not coliding with it. The dosn't look like any interaction between the moon and the explosion. Apart from that, I think the image would have been great.

If you look at it in reverse, there's scientific theory that talks about how the moon may have originated as part of the earth's molten mass and was then "spun" off to do it's own thing, and it almost reminds me of that. Except in reverse, of course.

I dont particularly believe that theory because the moon is a far older piece of rock than our earth. Plus its not the same composition.
I akin it to the asteroid belt, where a planet used to be, and we happened to have sucked in the largest bit.

Check it out, man, it's crazy stuff.
"the Giant Impact Theory" sounds like a party to me.
But either way, it was mostly just the visual image that the picture brings up that made me think of the concept of moon and collisions and whatnot, not any special certainty of how th' things actually came about.
