A Flash CS3 Dress up tutorial for those who asked me how I make my games :3Take in mind you need to have at least a minimum knowledge of Flash to understand this...
If you have any questions feel free to ask but I won't answer anything already on the FAQ section!
EDIT 12/22: Fixed a few typos and added a proleader :3
Super special thanks to She taught me a lot of these codes and if it wasn't for her I would still be lost using Flash.

the only one I know to have AS2 is Cs3 but if Cs6 have AS2 included either is fine.

How do i make the clothes stick back to their original places? I'm guessing its similar to the snapping code for one the body, but where in the script should i put the code? I've seen you done this in

do you mean by 'sticking the clothes to the body'?
if so here !!:

Love the tutorial, but for some reason i cannot add coding to buttons as when I press F9 it won't let me access the thing to add the script as it says something about 'select a single frame' or something :/

I followed the tutorial and downloaded the specific flash program required (flash cs3), went through the installation process which ended up being two parts, so I opened the program to finish installing it and it had check boxes of extras to download but when I went to click the boxes the program froze and stopped responding, and it continued doing that until I uninstalled it. I tried downloading the same program from other websites but after that it told me that I don't have permission to run it, or something. I wanted to download it from the Adobe site but when I went to it and clicked the flash cs3 link it had several download links to choose and I couldn't figure out which one to use.
I may not be cut out for using this stuff but I love creating dress up dolls. I've been making paper versions since I was 7.

Have you heard of KISS dolls? They're dolls you can make using programs specifically made for creating dress-up dolls. The only thing is you need a special viewer to play with them if you download them. You can play some here: kisscafe.ephralon.de/dolls.php I think there're also links for tutorials to create your own dolls on the site. If not, a quick Google search will help you.

Thanks. I've Googled how to create them but all I've found is existing doll websites that I can use, not creating my own dress up program.

It's been years since I tried KISS dolls. I remember using two programs, DirectKiss and WSVC, as well as regular MSPaint and Notepad.

One person I talked to said that they drew the template and clothes on paper and scanned them into their computer. I can manage that, I just wouldn't know how to put them into a dress up program.
Sorry, my computer knowledge is rather limited. I can use one just fine, but I've never tried flash programs.
