A Flash CS3 Dress up tutorial for those who asked me how I make my games :3Take in mind you need to have at least a minimum knowledge of Flash to understand this...
If you have any questions feel free to ask but I won't answer anything already on the FAQ section!
EDIT 12/22: Fixed a few typos and added a proleader :3
Super special thanks to She taught me a lot of these codes and if it wasn't for her I would still be lost using Flash.

I have a problem: I drew the clothes in paint tool sai and saved them as a .png
When I import them it shows up like a .jpg with a white background that I can't seem to get rid of. How can I fix this (or get rid of the white part)?

i know this comment was made forever ago, but i hope maybe this reply can help you or anyone else reading trough the comments!
SAI is weird about transparency. What you need to do is make a blank layer underneath your drawing and change the mode to Luminosity. Then go up to Layers on the menu bar and select "Luminosity to Transparency"
save your file as a .psd to import into Flash
Note that this has to be done on a 'fresh' sai document. Editing existing png files wont work unless you erase the white background from around the peices.Β

I have a question. I want to use transparent png images that are the same original size of the body so that it's easier to get it on the exact spot it's supposed to go. But when I try to drag it it's got all the extra empty area as clickable to drag it. Does anyone know how to make the clickable area smaller or to just parts with pixels?

opening the pictures in an image editing program to crop it down as small as possible should help a bit

How do you make it an .swf? I still have mine on .fla, but the flash requirement is .swf

Click file, then on the dropdown menu, under export, do export as movie, then there should be an option for file types in the thing where you name it, and then you make is a .swf file

Do you want people to have bad luck? BTW it doesn't work because it's just writing on a computer. Nothing special, I've seen thousands of these on YT and read them, I'm perfectly fine. (e.g.)
