Description This is my portrayal of a moment from Chapter 26, "The Cave" from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Dumbledore and Harry enter into a cave by the sea that has "known magic" to hunt for one of Lord Voldemort's horcruxes -- Salazar Slytherin's locket.

this is incredible. I'd love it if you could check out my portrayal of this exact same scene (I just uploaded it). Yours is much more minimalistic but also very misterious and epic

I really like this. I feel the waters could have been more 'disturbed', but nonetheless, great portrayal.

I think it would have made it more obvious it was water for sure. But, the book talks multiple times about how the water is as smooth as glass and even when it gets disturbed, it returned to perfect stillness unnaturally fast. Maybe I shouldn't be so literal

Thanks for the comment

lol That's okay. I don't remember that at all, seeing as I have only read them but once. Just goes to show that I need to!

hehehe, well I definitely recommend you do because they are wonderful -- but I think I may have read them too many times - it verges on mental illness

Thank you sir. I am not totally happy with how much banding there is in the gradients, but they are so subtle that I suspect there simply aren't enough actual shades to make smooth transitions. I tried adding some monochrome gaussian noise to them and it helped a tiny bit, but not enough to really make it worth the detraction

Any tips from my mentor?
