Description
Sci Fi Lab Render 2Some issues with this render - although I had change nothing other than the cam angle - the base of the Containment tubes UV map is screwed up - don't know why.. not fixing it...
The shadows from this view are bit darker than I'd wanted - but meh what can I do... it's ominous for sure..
The black you see crossing the screen is the shadow from the wires and pipes just over the camera
And the whole scene came out too wide -- dunno I was at work while it rendered ..
Needless to say I'll be moving on to the next project...

Neat scene.
Would you use "SweetHome3D" for your dream office?

I can't run it for some reason... tried a couple of times..
I'll just make it in Blender - besides I've already got the chair done

You're going to use the Windows version with WINE? Let me know if that works. Does WINE come with java?

WINE doesn't seem to come with much of anything other than a 'windows like environment' that you choose to act as a particular version of Windows (from 3.1 all the way to XP) -- but for example it doesn't seem to want to run DAZ for me and it gives no error messages to tell me why or what is going on.. it's a pain... funny enough though I can play Evo 4x4 2 with little noticable run errors, except that it shuts done if I try to go to a 2nd race/free roam/mission track... and of course nothing to tell me why for that either...
I hate the idea of paying for Cedega to make my Windows things work, but I may have to in order to do the things that I want to do.

Same here with the idea of having to pay to use Cedega to make my Windows stuff work on Linux.
I just use Wine for Watchtower Library, ArtRage, and Open Canvas 1.1. I did try DAZ too but it wouldn't work for me just like you experienced. I run Wine 0.9.42.

It would only be worth it if I could be sure that I could make money on my 3d by transitioning it to DAZ and putting it up for sale on DAZ's site and maybe Renderosity and such...

Either way, I will get DAZ to run eventually on MandrivaONE -- I will find someone that has it running on Linux and will make them tell me how they did it...

The floor is a 'dirty'd' Gimp texture

I honestly didn't like this render -and almost didn't put it up on DA - but I had already said that I would and well, I tend to do what I say I'm going to do...
The shadows on the 1st one were not this harsh - and I really didn't expect them to be on this one... the scenes issues kill it's good qualities --- and that stupid screens image isn't showing correctly (and I'd just fixed it before this render) agh well...
Thanks for looking and the

Agh! Too big! XD
Usually it's custom to submit a version that more or less fits the screen, and the submit detail shots.

That may be YOUR custom... it is not mine...
The image size IS SHOWN below the image during the 'review' image... (and this one is SMALLER than other render of this scene)...
Thanx for looking...

Feh, the preview's really too small for things like this, methinks. But to each his own.

And a scaled down image won't show the details I put into this work...
