Description
This is the first in a series of pieces that I've been commissioned to do by my current employer, featuring the characters from my/the company's upcoming project.Prints will be available as soon as it's approved.
The next image in the series will be up hopefully sometime within the next month.
Approximatey 50 hours, Photoshop 7, working off of a sketch.

Also one of the only pieces that truly seems to capture the power of wings, and looks convincing in that they could actually carry the person.

Okay, so I really like the border. I may have to experiment with that technique. This piece is gorgeous. There's nice movent to the figgures, and YAY for complimentary colors!! I've always been a big fan of muted, soft, delicate tones as opposed to intense color.

i do have one (nasty little) nitpick to offer... i feel that the signatue is a lil like your hand was shaking a lil.. or som.. should consider redoing it (in my most intrucive and annoying opinion)
anyways.. the drawing itself is sooo friggin' awsome.. i'm speachless.. the clouds.. the face.. the body.. the outfit.. the wings... the hair.. all done to perfection .. *sheds my shoes in front of ye*

I love the detail you put into hair...It's like seeing every strand, and that's a nice change from just a big glued-together block of it. 
I really like the style of wings here...The paintings on the feathers are really neat, something a bit different from the ordinary. Their overall shape is very nice too.
The sky behind him is really lovely...The tectures on the clouds are gorgeous.

While the character in the front is very softly portrayed (as usual, with your blending style, kitty), the background clouds are quite polarized in comparison. It does lead to a slightly sloppier shading, but at the same time, the extent of color change in the clouds allows for a much better depth perception in the background.
The sky and water are blurred a little much for my liking, but they fit well as a whole. I'm also not a big fan of the lens flare, it appears a little clichΓ©.
The main character is gorgeously done. Muscle definition, wing pattern, hair, and the apron/robe thingy falling down from his waist are the four main things that stand out to me in this. The hair is wonderfully done, with a little sharpness and unnatural shaping on the individual strands, but not enough to make it painfully solid and unbelievable. As for the muscle definition, its just well done. Nothing more to say about that.
The wing and robe-like-thing patterns are fucking great. They both have an ancient form to them, making it a bit rustic and aged.
Lastly, the frame blur. Its very well done, and not something I see very often, so kudos. A very, very well done piece -- I hope you make lots of money----I mean have fun drawing these pieces for your company.

It's been a while kitty.. I'm very glad you've finally found a job for yourself. And it looks like it's a pleasant one too.
As for the work I love particularly the background and the wings but I can see the high quality in everywhere - not least in the colors and the atmosphere along with the frame. Considering the position of the sun the character should appear as silhouette, though, but it's very understandable and realistic enough to change the lighting a bit. Hum.. maybe a little brigher edges near the sun could look good.. nevermind.. Very spectacular work.
