Alright, I'm done farging around with this for the moment. I may go back in at some later date, but for now I'm as happy with it as I'm going to get without throwing myself and/or my monitor out the window.
Anyway.It's Clia (the woman) and Raven (the man), a couple of my characters, actually pre-story; you wouldn't catch them dead this close to each other in the timeline of the actual comic. (...Ironically they are both dead in the timeline of the actual comic, but that's about ten paragraphs worth of explaining and I just don't have that kind of patience right now.)
ANYWAY thanks to everyone for all of the very helpful feedback, it was very appreciated and (in most cases) insightful.
The other two versions are deleted out of my gallery, as I said they'd be, so sorry for the two or three of you that didn't listen to me and faved them. : p

Ok, I've been reading and watching you work on this piece and I just wantn to say it's awesome.
Onto the critique! (LOL)
If, for the most part, these two wouldn't be caught dead with each other, why are the girl's hands underneath the man's cape? I know that when I'm awkward with someone, there's no way I'm going to get closer- even if it's just putting a hand on their shoulder! If these two are so distant, I wouldn't put her hands inside the cloak. *shrugs* (I know you're taking a break from this piece... so it's just a random thought).

I'm glad to see that I haven't lost my critiquing touch as indicated by the fact that you incorporated nearly all if not all of the few suggestions I made as well. 
Speaking of ~critiqueme , don't think I've forgotten about the whole "poodle in a tutu" thing, although I imagine you have. I'm still going to do something with that idea eventually

I think you captured the characters personalities in this picture. In the earlier attempts one may have thought it was supposed to be romantic in some way but now it looks like he is about to push her away with his cloaked arm. I like the new BG a lot too, the giant rock in the first WIP didn't really fit and the new skyline creates more atmosphere. I like how you solved the hand problem, I would have done the same thing
