Great tips, feels like a tutorial more than a correction haha
I loved Lassh's eyes, they look great! Somehow the shape + the color blue made him look very mysterious and calm, while Rayer's look more wild... which fits his expression on the pic and his scar
I would just advise to be careful if making the nose longer, because if you don't adjust the rest of the face - making the forehead a bit smaller or making the jaw longer too - the nose will look too long for the face, and you won't have space for the chin, like on your final Lassh's pic ''/
But seriously, other than that, great advices and great "re-design"

Ahaha yeah I guess it does feel more like a tutorial. That's what the original artist wanted though, tips on differentiating characters...so I dunno XD
No I don't mind. I completely agree. Not sure why I didn't put that. I think I'll go back and mention that along with changing one part of the face, you should change the other parts accordingly. Although I do admit in my drawings I tend to make smaller chins, I DO try to match the original artists style somewhat with these corrections. In my final Lassh picture he's looking down a bit, which would call for less chin. Maybe I should make that more apparent?

That would be nice - please, try to put more advices about the nose part! Barely managed to depict eyes somehow decently in my works, now aligning the nose with mouth (and mainly, depicting noses as such!) has become a really uncomfortable problem for me.

Actually...no OTL Not personally. I've seen a few good books, but I don't know the names or anything(and actually come to think of it, they weren't for anime), but I assumed there would be more in this world. Your best bet actually would be tutorials here on dA. And at that I've seen a few, but they're more about personality and other stuff, and don't cover what I have here as far as the face goes.
I learned what I have here from various sources and real life people!

Haha yeah it can be a hard thing, character design. These are just some tips I learned when making my own characters. All I draw is men, and lots of them, so it's important that I'm able to make them different enough that people won't get confused when I put them in my comics.

The only tip I have is just nitpicking lol: to possibly even change the ears a little bit. But it's not a big deal. Heck, even I don't have much variation in that department xD

and yea Lessh's first design was that he has no pupils visible... i plan on making his eyes so bright that people don't see it...

Right right I like it! And yeah I thought I saw no pupils, but in pencil I meant you made it more noticeable by lightly shading it. lol I'm not good at explaining sorry xD

In your description, it says ":icondevfjjdssdjflsj:, but it doesn't need that "dev." Dev is for when you just want the username and icon is when you just want the icon. Just thought I should let you know. XD
