“Ugh. Yeah right. Can’t be that bad, she says. This delicate and pampered skin has never touched mud like that! Sure, the mud masks at the spa, but that’s clean mud. EWW! It’s going to be disgusting!!!”

Gwen sits down upon a large rock near the mud edge and takes off her shoes. Not to relax her feet this time, but so that they don’t get ruined. They were probably very expensive!!! While she’s at it, she decides to remove her navy nylon socks as well. She puts her now bared feet down onto the forest floor.

“This is SO gross.”

“Please hurry! The pages are getting wetter! They might sink!”

“Okay, okay. I’m ready.”

Gwen stands up at the edge of the mud pit and takes a deep breath to muster her courage.
