**Might take a moment to load...it's HUGE!**Ok! I actually remembered to take screenshots of something, huzzah! So here's the first installment of my start-to-finish walkthrough of the "Stride For Stride" picture seen here: [link]
The pics are 75% their regular size, but I think they're still pretty sharp. I thought I'd save you all the horror of loading something that big, even though this pup is STILL friggin enormous. O_O Sorry if it gives anyone any trouble.
I forgot to mention in the image, but for the lineart I'm using "oils" and specifically the "detail oils brush 10" sized down to 1.5, in Corel Painter 8. Silly me not mentioning the most obvious things, haha.
Anyway, I'll upload the next part soon.
Oh, and sorry if there are any typos. I read it three times over, but I probably missed something anyway.

OKAY. I am going to seem like an incredible retard when I say this, but when you are linearting... well, how? xD are you using the simple brush tool or is there something I haven't discovered yet on photoshop (I've got photoshop elements, I wouldn't know what you have) that is vital in the linearting process? xD my friend has said something about pen tool, and I'm pretty sure photoshop elements doesn't have this said pen tool. I dont know, I'm talking such utter nonsense xD The reason I say this is because I tried "linearting" mine, (aka trying as hard as I can to draw a straight black line over the sketchy one until it's not sketchy anymore) and I failed MISERABLY. xD I'm really new to photoshop, and so I dont really know how to make things look very good at all. xD thanks for helping the dumb in need! I very much adore your artwork. (:

How did you put this together? 'Cause I really wanna do a walkthrough of how I draw/color && I have no clue how to go about grouping it all together.

We-eeeell, as I was working on the image I routinely saved it as .jpgs (so it would be a merged file instead of having all 500 million layers). So I just saved each one separately, numbering them 01, 02, 03, etc. So then at the end I just had to paste the jpgs into a new, very large canvas.
Oh, if you do the .jpg thing ever, make SURE you re-save it as a regular file (with it's layers) right after you save the .jpg. It would suck so much if the program malfunctioned and your most recent back-up file was a merged .jpg. haha.

Ah ha! That sounds rather simple, lol.
Omg.. I accidentally did that one time. I was all tired && stuff, && I automatically saved my work in progress as a .jpg. I didn't realize that I did it until the next day. I got up, got on the computer, open the picture in Photoshop && BAM!! All of me layers were gone. && I had like 300, 'cause I'm a layer whore, lol.. I was one ticked off lady.
I am excited. I've never done a tutorial/walkthrough before.

I think that I'm going to skip the sketching/line art steps && just explain how I color. I like to color, && I think putting that stuff together in a 'fake tutorial-like thing' would be much more fun, lol. It'll still take me a while though.. I've still got sooo much other stuff to do. && now I've got a job. Blahh blahh.. lol.
