Description
A tutorial I put together describing how can make your own chain link brush in Photoshop in just a few easy steps. Very handy! Same technique can be used to create strings of beads, embroidery and stitches. Hope it's helpful!Tumblr reblog link: [link]

Thank you this was a life saver QvQ
Quick question, is there a way to change the opacity? When I make mine it seems to be stuck, despite me fiddling with the different opacity options :/

Glad it was helpful!
Sorry, I don't know, that's not a problem I've ever encountered. The only thing I know is that the opacity can be affected if the brush is very small?

That's probably it. I was using it to make small patterns that were a bit tedious to draw XD
Regardless, thank you once more ^^

I've been looking for a guide that shows you how to make the chain tilt with direction for ages, finally realised that using elements instead of full photoshop was the problem thanks to how simply you laid things out, so thank you, very helpful!

Thank you very much! I remembered there was a way to make this in PS but didn't know how, and I wanted to use teh same principle for stitches.

I'm not sure I understand - this is a tutorial explaining step by step how to create one yourself; once you have it, you can use it to draw chains of various shapes and sizes. Same basic principle can be used to make a stitch-brush for seams, or a bead/pearl brush for necklaces and similar. If ay part of it is confusing, I'll try to explain it better.

Yeah, once you learn to fiddle around with those brush settings, your shape can be just about anything. I've used the same principle for making bead strings and embroidered seams. Only limit is your imagination.
