Description
One of the animals I most enjoyed watching in Africa was the Elephant. I got to see these gorgeous animals every day for a week in both Zambia and Malawi! Such majestic creatures, and always looking for food (I can relate to that all too well!). This one shows how much they can stretch to reach up for leaves on trees—that’s typically after they’ve stripped all the lower leaves from the trees.

This elephant is actually in the camp where I stayed, just outside the park. There was 4 elephants that came into our camp to feed about mid-day each day we were there. We also saw elephants at night feeding right outside our chalet (great chance to watch them close-up, but I got no night shots).
