He can also be very sexual and passionate from his animal like nature. He is curious about the world and his surroundings and is eager to learn about it.

Background:
He was born to his parents Rick and Sarah Hemingway who worked as owners and rangers of a wildlife, nature preserve in California. His parents were very caring and loving to him but they were often busy looking after their business and caring for the animals. Parry loved going off into the park to play and meet the different animals. His favourite were the wolves and he wished he could be part of their pack when his parents weren't around and too busy for him. His love of animals and wish was heard and granted by The Parliament of Limbs that governs the Red energy which is the source of powers regarding animals. After a while he discovered that he could turn into a wolf and became part of the pack in his parents absence. He enjoyed being a wolf and liked it better than being a human as the pack raised him from a young boy. Though when he did actually go home to his family's cabin his parents began to worry about him and the wild animal their son was becoming. When he was about eleven his uncle Luke came for one of his visits to the nature preserve. He studied animals and was interested in his nephew's abilities in turning into an animal. He suggested to his brother and sister-in-law that he take Parry home to live with him so that Parry could be integrated into human society. They agreed and Parry was sent to live with his Uncle and cousin. In showing Parry the outside world Luke taught his nephew about different animals and started teaching Parry how to turn into the other animals that were around him. Luke wanting to test his nephew's abilities and how far they could go, having a doctorate in zoology. He focused most of his time teaching and studying his nephew when he wasn't busy working at the office. This angered Parry's cousin Stella who was very jealous that her father spent more time with her pathetic cousin than his own daughter. In her jealousy to spite her cousin, Stella contacted her Dad's boss at Cadmus Labs about Parry and his powers to turn into animals.

Cadmus being a company experimenting on metahumans and powered people abducted Parry to study him. Luke was very displeased by this since he wanted to study his nephew himself and tried to talk his bosses out of it. He was unsuccessful yet he was permitted to help and give his advice on how to control the wild wolf boy. Parry hated being caged and attacked all the scientists who tried to hurt him, realizing that the white lab coats meant trouble and punishment for him. He was put in a room that simulated a forest for his comfort after a while to keep him calm in hopes that he would respond better to orders. However he still would not listen to Cadmus and kept attacking the scientists who tried to control him. They wanted to turn Parry into a weapon but after many failed attempts they decided he would be more of a benefit as an attack dog. So they kept him in the form of a wolf and used a shock collar to punish him when he did not listen. After years of testing they tried to get him to attack an Atlantean girl who had been captured to lure out Aquaman. Despite being electricuted Parry wanted to hurt the evil scientists rather than the girl. Seeing his pain she tried to help him but he was taken away after the experiment failed. Her siblings and one of their friends came to rescue the girl but she felt bad about the wolf and wanted to go help him get away from the lab too. Using Parry's Uncle as a hostage they were able to find him and learned that he was actually human when the girl's brother Leiland removed his shock collar and he was able to transform back. Though he turned into a cat and perched on Leiland's shoulder as the group escaped.

It was decided that Parry would stay at Leiland's apartment in the city of Metropolis and he promised to help Parry find his pack. The two quickly became friends as Leiland showed Parry fun things to do like swimming and seeing the sights. Parry felt close and enjoyed spending time with his new friend and wanted to learn more about him. So the two of them traveled to Leiland's home of Atlantis to see Leiland's family when Parry said that finding his pack could wait since he wanted to see where Leiland came from. While there Parry was conflicted with his feelings. He was raised by wolves to mate with females but he was developing feelings for the Atlantean Prince. When Leiland explained that he and his father Orm disagreed on Leiland's sexual orientation and he told Parry it was okay to be gay, Parry gave into his urges and animal instincts. They spent a very heated and passionate time in Leiland's room. After they were finished Orm went to see his son and caught them, resulting in Leiland being disowned by his father. After saying goodbye to Leiland's mother they returned to the apartment and stayed their together. Parry was happy with Leiland and forgot about finding his pack as Leiland, his sisters and friends were Parry's new pack now and he would do everything he could for them and the man he loved.
