This is another My Little Pony oc, Malice. I decided to make some more and hope that you like him.Name: Malice
Age: Adult
Gender: Male, Stallion
Race: Alicorn
Coat colour: Black and dark grey
Hoof colour: Black
Mane/tail colour: Scarlet red with blood red shading
Eye colour: Blood red
Accessories: Dark red and gold armour, golden bands with red jewels over his forelegs and a gold crown.
Cutie mark: A black eye with flames around it.
Cutie mark story: His father provided him with a cold and heartless upbringing. He soon discovered that he enjoyed using the same kind of dark magic. He learned that he was able to use his talent with it to inspire dark emotions in the ponies around him and that it made his dark powers stronger. Realizing that his destiny was to follow down the dark hoof steps of his father he was granted a cutie mark through his mother's heritage.
Special Talent: To inspire the dark emotions of fear, anger, hatred, and suffering into the hearts of others and use it to manipulate them and make them do his bidding.

OK thanks, he teams up with Queen Chrysalis to capture the Elements of Harmony, with the exception of Twilight, and they use Carnival cat in their plan to use her sadness and worst fear to force her to do their bidding. Their main goal is to rule Equestria with Eternal Evil.

K, the fact he's related to King Sombra is too sue-ish. A better backstory is needed, and I would say change the design a bit.

There's more information on his sister's profile. That's only the part associated with the cutie mark. This is a quick profile so not all the detail is there anyway. As for it being sueish that they're related to King Sombra, King Sombra himself is a sue being based on Sauron from Lord of the Rings.

No but there's an interview and Twitter feeds as reference. Inspiration from something doesn't make a sue no, but trying to take over the land and cover it all in darkness is pretty overdone and a copy from Lotr and Sauron. Below is the info about him being like Sauron.
β Sombra is similar to Sauron from Lord of the Rings. Both have a similar appearance, neither has a lot of screentime or dialogue, both lost their physical form in the past (though Sombra is able to regain his form), and both are pure evil.
β Sombra's theme sounds similar to that of Sauron and Mordor in Lord of the Rings.
β The Crystal Empire under Sombra's control also looks similar to Mordor.
β The way he dies looks similar to Sauron's first defeat, and the way the dark crystal that he is standing on shatters looks similar to Barad-dΓ»r's destruction during Sauron's actual death scene.
β His horn looks similar to Sauron's spikes in Legendary Frog's parody One Ring to Rule Them All. Both it and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic were made with flash animation.
β Meghan McCarthy confirmed in an interview that Sombra was inspired by Sauron, and was only meant to be a dark presence that brings fear to the crystal ponies.

Yes well as far as Sues go, given the definition of it most characters made including cannon ones are considered them.

I was speaking more in general terms. If you want an MLP example then how about Twilight. She's your typical nerdy girl and as the heroine she always saves the day with her friends. Plus she's fallen victim to Deus ex machina being turned into an Alicorn to make her a Princess.

Ugh, I was hoping you wouldn't bring up Twi. I am so sick of bronies calling her a sue. Have you never seen Lesson Zero? She has loads of flaws. Now that she's become an alicorn people seem to be forgetting that.

I was merely using her as an example. I quite like Twilight and have no problem with Sues whatsoever. But that does fall under the definition and using it any charater can be called a sue. The fun thing with ocs jis to make a character interesting and unique. If they have something to do with the cannon to better intertwine them into the fandom from the creator's imagination then why should that put such a broad label on the character? It's really just a way of discriminating against a person's creativity in my opinion.

Yes, but an overpowered alicorn that's, say, daughter of Celestia or is ruler of an element of nature that's powerful doesn't make it original or unique. Tons of people make ones like that. You can do whatever you like with your OCs, I don't care, but they were merely suggestions, nothing more. I am sorry if I offended you.

I think it'd only be sueish depending on how its done and I don't nessarily think sueish in of itself is bad. I do agree more detail would be great in the profile but knowing that she has more characters connected to this one I'm sure more and better details will be forthcoming.

It is bad to be sue-ish, however the character has potential. I never said the profile needs more detail, I think it is good already.

I tend to disagree on the Sue-ish or in this case Stu-ish department....Then again we're in the day and age where almost anything, if not everything, is labeled as such simply because they are closer to specific character(s) or have been designed to be more firmly entwined into the fandom. I personally think judgement for such things should be held for those that take things way too far instead of almost anyone who makes a character who "falls" into the catagory.

I agree, it's a matter of opinion. I have never been a fan of canon relationships, but again, it's an opinion. My point is to give people suggestions for possibly improving their OC, however it is their choice.
