That looks awesome... If you don't mind me asking, did you "indent" for the fur work? Or did you use some other method for the fur, and if so, can you please explain?

Thank You

I'm not sure what you mean by "indent" for the fur work. I don't do lines to outline the fur. When I do furred
animals I draw the outline of the eyes and where the nose and ears will be lightly. The fur is layers of shading and lines drawn with different graphites in the direction the animal's fur grows.I work from light to dark adding more layers,in areas where the fur is darker,to create depth and contours in the fur.I hope this helps.

Mhmm... but it seems like there's a lot of detail for the individual strands of hair... Thanks for telling me though.

You're welcome
Layer upon layer of lines and shading create the detail of individual strands.Starting with light lines and a soft touch working in shadows and layers of gradually darker lines where they are needed to create the depth and look of individual strands without actually drawing every single one.The lines also have to go in the direction the fur actually grows which requires looking closely at it.If you have a dog or cat or other furry animal look at how their fur grows. It grows in many different directions depending on which part of it's body you're looking at.On the face it grows in several directions some short, some long.I spend a lot of time studying the detail and textures before I start the drawing but the detail in things fascinates me.

Thanks so much Erik
Eyes are the best part of animals. It was fun doing the fur,
just had to keep in mind the directional growth of the fur as
I went along.
