Yeah, that was the idea))
I'm also thinking what the byzantines underlined that themselves, at their art of Macedonian renaissance (like Troyes Casket or the Parisian Psalter etc.).

Very true!

I kept coming back to this Stratiot image, again and again, and it made me check out your mediaeval Roman/Byzantine artworks once again. Suddenly, after a full day of work, I just had to draw something along such lines, albeit for fantasy purposes. Behold the bastard child of the Stratiot, and the sole reason I'm going to sleep at an ungodly hour now.
