Decided to finally post this WIP ref after doing it a while ago-

Chrysander is my fan character for Devil May Cry (although its not too attached the lore anymore but he still fits in) and i made him alongside my best friend !

I drew him once here:

And decided to change his clothing ever so slightly!

Me and are slowly working together with mine and her character's backstory but so far for Chrysander it goes something like:

Chrysander is a half demon, his parents are both humans, however, while his mother was married to his father, she had went of and "done the dirty" with a demon. She got impregnated, and came back, expressing that the child was in fact the father's, hiding that she went off with a demon. When Chrysander was born, it was all fine since his hair was black just like his father's, however, his eyes were golden. His father was worried, but his wife reassured him that he was simply "blessed by the gods". Chrysander grew up, and began to practice his power of controlling gold, the first ever gold he melted is the one he continues to have to this day. His father was quite strict with Chrysander, and also worried. Because of this, Chrysander was forced to stay home and be home schooled, and underwent long hours of teaching, learning 3 languages at once as well as everything else. Chrysander had always had a pretty static face of no emotion, and since he spent most of his time reading and studying, he turned into a quiet person.
When Chrysander was about 14 years old, his parents had gotten into a huge argument, bigger than anything before. While Chrysander was sitting in the lounge room, he listened to his parents screaming and crying in the next door room, and also listened in when his mother had accidentally admitted that Chrysander wasn't his father's child, but instead a demon from a bar. All the screaming and shouting, and finding out he was half demon, Chrysander began to panic, because of this panicked state, all of the gold in the lounge had began to melt and floated around him in shards like a protective barrier. Eventually, his parents heard Chrysander's crying and came rushing in to see him on the floor, rocking back and forth. His parents attempted to approach him, and his mother reached out and tried to touch him, but because he was caught off guard and was a mixture of disgust, fear, and sadness, the gold reacted, all flying towards Chrysander, before exploding towards his parents, essentially impaling them both. Because of this, Chrysander is now afraid of controlling a large amount of gold at once, and once he does, he begins to have panic attacks, although he can still control and manipulate a large amount. Chrysander ran from home and was stopped by a cloaked man, labeling himself as Chrysander's "Guardian". This man took Chrysander by the hand and raised him, helping him master his gold and fighting skills. Soon, Chrysander was brought into the mercenary business, where he has been working at ever since, even after his "Guardian" left him when Chrysander was 20. Now, at age 25, Chrysander works with his partner (working and romantically) Caesar ( 's character) on mercenary jobs and perhaps something bigger in the future.
