Kiri: --! Tch... I'm just waiting for you, or her, to beg for your life...
Quinn: Huh... You may as well get it over with I'd rather die than lick Imperial boots, go on, run me through, and don't hesitate, cuz' I'll never give you a chance like this again...

More Star Wars OC stuff! This time Quinn's fate lies in Kiri's hands, her rival defeated Kiri prepares for the kill, however... She feels a profound sadness, Quinn is the only opponent who's truly tested her skill, the only person she's been able to fight at her best and not completely destroy, and because of that she is the very reason Kiri has become strong, without Quinn, Kiri would have no purpose in her life, no goal to aim for... Quinn's words resonate deep within Kiri, they're more than a statement of defiance or rebellion, they are a promise, a promise that she'll grow ever stronger, a promise fulfilled in their future encounters.

The setting for this is one of my favourite worlds, Cato Neimoidia, I adore their bridge cities, especially the upside down ones, like Tarko-se, the bronze-gold architecture is absolutely gorgeous... I wanted this piece to take place someplace high, where Kiri would be holding Quinn over a vast drop, I ruled out Bespin because it doesn't really attract the Emperor's ire until Empire Strikes Back, where as this is set pre-Yavin, like maybe by a year or so? Heheh, though it's AU I still wanna keep it as canonically accurate as possible! XD
And so I thought hey, Cato Neimoidia's the perfect setting, it's got gorgeous architecture, the brilliant bronze sunset, aaaand there's plenty of room in the sky to put a Star Destroyer for some or no reason! XD

I really REALLY like Kiri's expression for some reason, she's so conflicted, and so much more furious that Quinn senses it... They both look pretty cut up, but most of their wounds are just burns from glancing blows. Kiri's outfit looks different, and if it looks uncomfortable, it's meant to, the Emperor is cruel to his minions, it causes Kiri's mood to stay constantly... Bad. Her lightsaber's hilt is also different, I really like the studs, and the visible Crystal Chamber.
Quinn and Orchid are pretty much the same, Quinn was disarmed, but Orchid picked up her blade, Kiri slashed at her but luckily Quinn forced a pillar between them, poor Orchid though, she's so terrified... I hate seeing her cry... ;_;

I'm quite happy with this, surprisingly I'm pleased with the background, that pretty much never happens! XD But yeah, I just wanted to capture one of my favourite Star Wars locales. ^_^

These three's fates are bound together for many years to come, so... How does Quinn escape from this situation? Will she have to force her freedom from an enraged Kiri? Will Orchid intervene? Will Kiri simply let her rival go this time...? What do you think, please share your thoughts! ^_^
