Artwork I did a while ago the my good friend SlingBlade87 , for a story within the Imperial AU, probably the most grim of the AU's over at A-Galaxy-of-Our-Own , that said it does have it's humorous moments even if they're laced with cruelty, but hey, that's the nature of humor, is it not?
Anyhow, for those curious here is the work this was made for: Imperial AU: Delusions and Machinations
I apologise for being so late uploading this, I have a tooth infection and have spent the past couple of days in sheer agony, I'm on some painkillers now so hopefully it'll let up soon.
Anyhow I really hope you enjoy, again, go give that story a read!

Thank you a bunch for doing this Midori. It's a real delight seeing your portrayal of this event in the storyline.
Aleema looks wonderful, she looks completely enthralled in the moment and is oblivious to the reality of it all. I especially love the details you put into it such as the characters in the background mocking her and the faceless Grand Inquisitor's embracing her.
I hope we have the chance to collaborate like this again in the future and that by the time of my posting this that your teeth are doing better.

I think the background was neccisary to add context, to show how the Grand Inquisitor was toying with her.

And thank, I'm doing a fair bit better, painkillers are kicking in, so it's not nearly as bad as it was, like the pain before was actually sickening. God damn I hate teeth...

Yeah I can see how it helped to give context to the whole thing and show what was really going on.
And if you're interested, I have an idea that LinkWannabe and I created if you're interested in hearing about it and seeing if you'd be interested in depicting it for the scene.

Fantastic illustration. I really like the posing and framing of this. There's something different for the eyes to focus on all over the image. I also especially like how you didn't include Kahan's eyes for the phantoms, like a way of letting us know which one is real. Finally, I'm loving Aleema in this. You really did a fantastic job making her look totally enthralled in the moment, so caught up in her own bliss that she's truly clueless to the scene just like in the story. Awesome work. Truly!
