When we got back to Isabelle's convoy there was a lot of explaining to do, that the information exchange didn't take place was the least of our concerns, I had a little kid clinging to my hip! Though, mercifully, Isabelle took it better than expected, she was frustrated somewhat sure, but she didn't blame us for failing our mission, after all there was little we could do after a run in with the Pursuer, Zai may be a jerk but he's a damn good pilot, even then though we were lucky to get away... And as for the kid... I think she understood, she was a former aid worker after all, whilst I desperately explained that the kid was Force Sensitive she listened quietly, honestly, I felt like a child making excuses for why they'd done something bad, expecting to be yelled at, but in the end she just sighed, if she did want to yell I don't think she could bring herself to, there was a long talk after that, about the kid, and responsibility, it's funny, it didn't feel like a lecture, in fact, I felt like, for maybe the first time in my life I was being treated like an adult, technically I was still a kid myself, so, oddly enough, it felt kinda' nice... ~Quinn Shara's memoirs, early Rebel years, Reflecting on her decision to raise the abandoned child she picked up on Nar Shaddaa, who she named Orchid.-------
Star Wars OC AU stuff! And an outfit design for little Orchid!
For the longest time Orchid, as a child, hasn't really had a proper outfit, it's always improvised, but now I've finally settled for a design! ^_^
The outfit is loosely based on an outfit worn by Elscol Loro in the X-Wing series, mainly the jacket, I really liked it's design, I think it suits young Orchid well.
After Quinn brought Orchid back to Isabelle's group she decided she'd raise her like a daughter (just like Yana had raised Quinn) and eventually train her to be a Jedi, Isabelle and Dr. Esteen approved, Quinn and Orchid were given their own cabin, and Orchid got proper clothes from a couple of remaining aid crates, which is where she got this outfit, it's a little big for her at first, but she grows into it. (She'll have other outfits besides. This is just her main from now on)
I like this look, how about you folks? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

She's so cute, and hse looks so enamored of teh whole thing!
Almost like she's not quite sure what to think of the treatment she's receiving.
Does Quinn adopt her right on the spot do you think? Or does it take al ittle while before she decides that Orchid needs a mother?

I reckon it's the first time she's worn clothes that aren't dirty rags, aye, she's definitely not used to any of this, and besides vaccinations from Dr. Esteen, she's overwhelmed by the kindness she's experiencing. ;w;
I think it's after the long talk with Isabelle that she mentions in her memoirs above, being treated like an adult she decides to take on the role, despite her young age. She's not entirely new to the concept of raising kids also, as she was Yana's oldest charge, and would pitch in to help the younger kids Yana had taken in, learning from watching her, heh, if she hadn't gone with Isabelle it's likely that in time she would've inherited Yana's position... ;w; There's no doubt that her own experiences as a child heavily influenced her decision, she could instantly empathize with Orchid, and in a sense steps into Yana's shoes.

*laugh* oh god, I wonder how she reacts to the good Doctor sticking her with needles and such? Poor thing!
It makes sense, after everything that Yana did for her and given her altruistic nature I can completely understand her desiring to take responsibility for the little girl she's rescued from the gutters.
