Meet Nene and Rena, They were my first yuri OC couple, I haven't drawn them in a couple of years, save for Nene as a teenager the other day, but yeah, here they are, back after a long time away, some redesigns, and a complete overhaul/scrapping of their old story, I'm starting from scratch with their story, though it's not like I actually ever started their old story, so this information is kind of meaningless to everyone besides myself! XD

Anyhow, let's talk about them a little, in the foreground is Rena, and behind her is Nene, Nene is kind of the main character, though it centers on them both, as far as the story is concerned, I want it to be a yuri drama, one that takes place on the road across several American states, I want to set a good portion of it in Nene's car and Motel rooms, it sounds like an odd premise in that regard but Nene is a drifter, and Rena a runaway hitching an indefinite ride, is it possible for a relationship to form between strangers on the endless open road?

We'll see, honestly, I don't know quite how to write this one just yet, so it's a project that'll be in the background for now, but it's a project I really, REALLY want to do. ;w;

For the redesigns, it was something I needed, mainly for Rena, her old design was just... too plain. She hasn't changed massively though, her skin is a bit darker, and she now wears glasses. ^_^ I really like her darker skin tone, I must say, it's a small change that makes a massive difference. ^_^ Nene's main design change is her hair colour, turns out I really liked her hair dyed red from the teenage version, like, a lot, so yeah, she dyes her hair red. she also has floral tattoo sleeves on each of her arms, they're in large part to cover up / distract from the scars she'd inflicted on herself as a teenager, those scars intrigue Rena about Nene's past, though Nene is at first reluctant to talk about it...

I'm rather happy with this, I like the colours and the character redesigns, I'm not sure why I chose the background to be wind-farms, it was just an idea I had in my head, it's funny, I both love and hate the look of wind farms, they're both beautiful and ugly, depending on my mood. XD Lot or Rock/Metal references, Nene loves a lot of the same bands I do y'see, the Foo Fighters (My personal favourite... XD), to Iron Maiden, to Motorhead, and Greenday are all referenced here, (the shirt Rena's wearing belongs to Nene) it was a fun background to draw, my particular favourite part is the graffiti sleeve art for the Greenday album 21st Century Breakdown (the couple kissing on top of a car whilst the city burns in the background), it's one of my favourite album artworks, I must say... XD

Anyway, yeah, this'll be on the back burner for a while probably, and worry not, Star Wars OC stuff will remain in the forefront because I love it. XD
By the way, sorry if my descriptions have been somewhat lacking lately, I've just been so exhausted, I'll try to improve em' again. ;w;
