Description
My people, Children of Di'alga, a decade and a half ago the Clone Wars, that ravaged our system, came to an end, and from the ashes of a weak and corrupt Republic rose a mighty Empire! In the years since it has been an honor to serve you, to watch this system reforge itself from the ruins of war brings me immeasurable pride, true to our namesake, we are a diamond in the Empire's crown. Peerless, and UNBREAKABLE!My people, I need your strength, even as I speak, there are those out there who plot against us, trying to take by force what is ours by right! They would threaten to drag this system back into war, but I will not yield! Not whilst I have the will of Di'alga, of her people behind me!
Under the leadership of General Hind, the uprising on Mus has been crushed! Through the bravery of Colonel Ral, the dissidents responsible for the murder of Imperial officers have been brought to justice above Da'hren! My people, through the might of Admiral Degwin Hav'll, The Unbreakable Hero of Di'alga, we endured the Clone Wars, we refused to surrender to the overwhelming power of the Separatist Droid army, WE WILL NOT BE BROKEN BY MERE REBELS!!
On this day we stand united, and I am eternally honored to serve you, as Autarch and Overseer, glory to Di'alga, glory to the Empire!
~Overseer Di'alga's speech, shortly after the events of "The First Farewell".
-------
More art of the Overseer of Di'alga, a character I've mentioned many times, but not really shown too much of, she's a character I'm really excited to explore more since her reveal at the end of The First Farewell , presiding over the militaristic Di'alga regime, overseeing the Di'alga Design Bureau, a top secret Imperial Black Site, and also supplying Inquisitor Galgriev with various tools of terror, she's a very insidious figure, a thorn in Goldsaber's side although they may not be aware at first, she's also responsible for all of Hafu's anguish, for the extermination campaign against her people, up until the Emperor's death, and the Empire's fracturing, she's completely untouchable...
To her people however she is viewed as a monolith of strength and virtue, overseeing Di'alga's restoration after it was ravaged by the Clone Wars she played upon her peoples pride to instil a sense of fierce nationalism, all whilst reinforcing the idea of Imperial superiority. Few of her critics dare to speak openly against us for fear of loyalist mobs delivering vigilante justice, and those that do often suffer very public displays of humiliation and brutalisation, often to a cheering crowd chanting "traitor".
Her charisma goes hand in hand with her beauty, as she surrounds herself with men that worship the ground she walks upon, in truth though she cares little for the feelings of sycophants, mearly manipulating them for her own benefit, on one instance an Imperial Moff, in an attempt to woo her, donated a Praetor II to the Di'algan Navy, amused by such a display she accepted it, though rejected his advances, instead sending a bottle of Di'alga's finest champagne to the red faced Moff. The Praetor II was bestowed upon Admiral Degwin, the Overseer christened the battlecruiser Invincible Degwin, much to the Admiral's displeasure, though he'd never admit it, and became the heart of the Di'algan Navy, replacing the ISD Secret Sword, which adopted a full time role as the Overseer's personal escort ship.
Her Charisma and intellect also made her a master of manipulating media, all Di'algan media was fiercely loyal to her, costantly spewing propaganda to the masses, and elevating her to a monolithic status, mistruthes and lies were a common occurrence, the Extermination on Mus was covered as them putting down an uprising, and the incident above Da'hren (during The First Farewell) was covered as a resounding victory, in which all rebel forces were eliminated, Colonel Ral receiving a commendation for his bravery, as well as a promotion. Following the Battle of Endor state propaganda increased in it's extreme rhetoric, and access to holonet, along with travel to and from the Di'alga system, was severely limited, in fact the vast majority of people within the Di'alga system had no idea that the Emperor was dead, and anyone who dared spread whispers of such were quickly eliminated for spreading "treasonous lies", it isn't until Quinn returns to Da'hren that the charade begins to crumble, the first spark in the second Battle of Da'hren, and by extension Di'alga...
Anyway I hope you like this glimpse at the Overseer, and her dark world, she's a character I very much look forward to exploring and fleshing out in the future, there's a lot that I drew inspiration from in creating her, from both real life and fiction, chief among them would probably be North Korea, in how the state tends to deify it's leaders in the minds of it's people, her ruthless brutality and charisma borrows inspiration from various despotic regimes, such as Nazi Germany, and Stalinist Russia, another key inspiration would be the Helghast from the Killzone series, there are some nods to Scholar Visari's speeches sprinkled in for good measure, and her official state title "Autarch" is borrowed from that series, Overseer being her Imperial title, and Autarch being her Di'algan state title, it's basically equivalent to that of an absolute Dictator.
Phew, I think I've talked enough for one day, as ever I really hope ya'll like, and feedback is greatly appreciated.

...you know a part of me is reminded from the Major from Hellsing.
Another part of me looks at how ostentatious she is and wonders oh my word what pretense!
Seriously this character rather fascinates me...I do wonder what mischief she's going to get up to!

Heheh, well she's not shy about using her weapons of war to subjugate those resistant to Imperial authority there are methods to her madness, unlike The Major, she firmly holds Imperial doctrine to heart, especially the Tarkin Doctrine, as such her displays of power work more towards projecting the image of Imperial superiority, Di'algans are fiercely loyal, the Clone Wars devastated their system, but they would never accept defeat, and she very much plays to that fact, so much so that word of and Imperial defeats is seen a treasonous lies, no matter how true, even the battle above Da'hren, at the end of The First Farewell, was reported to the public as an Imperial victory.
Heheh, no doubt, she makes it a point to project herself to the public as the pinnacle of perfection, kind of like the way the North Korean dictatorship props up it's Supreme Leader to a near godlike status, but if they could actually back it up convincingly.
Heheheh, glad to hear! XD

My word, she certainly rules with an iron fist doesn't she.
I am still not sure how I feel about her honestly, but I'm certainly curious.

she looks good.
(and since I remember who you based her on) would laugh if she is bigger than her people, giving her even more of a "god like" status she's created for herself
