It's a bittersweet feeling returning home, the nostalgic landscape of rolling dunes and battered old Clone Wars era shipwrecks, the beautiful rose-tinted sunset, and of course seeing Yana again, I have missed it all so very much, little has changed on Da'hren, a far cry from the events shaping the wider galaxy, the Emperor is dead, and the Empire fractured, a New Republic is forming however the war is not over, and in returning to the Di'alga system I am bringing it home with me...

Ever since the Battle of Endor the Overseer has put her conquest of the outlying systems on hold, her vanguard fleet, lead by "Invincible Degwin", has returned to Pri'merra, and travel into the Di'alga system, along with the holonet and other communication, has been severely limited, the citizens do not know of the Emperor's death, the Overseer desperately tries to consolidate her power, it is an untenable position, despite the propaganda she knows it's all a lie, the Empire is crumbling, and she herself has her hands stained with the blood of countless, from the conquests of R'lyah, Zan'zahar, and the other outlying systems, to the extermination on Mus, and to the subjugation of her own citizens, Di'alga calls for liberty, and her victims retribution.

I'm writing this however during the calm before the storm, though I feel something else, a deep sense of unease, as I gaze up at J'hen I can't help but feel something gaze back at me, something malevolent, and familiar... ~Quinn Shara's memoirs, diary extract, New Republic years, pondering the coming conflict, as the war comes to her home.

Finally some art, am I right? Hinting at things to come eventually, the battle of Di'alga, of Da'hren, is an inevitability, however Quinn can't help but feel conflicted, whilst she wants desperately to see her home free from the Empire, she also wishes that she could keep it free of conflict, however given the tyrannical Overseer of the Di'alga sector, peace is an impossibility.

Bloody hell, the dimensions for this piece are weird, though that's because it's gonna be my twitter header, because literally no art in my gallery can be cropped to fit the absurd size restrictions without looking incredibly awkward. Btw if you have even an ounce of respect for me I recommend against following me on twitter, I'm trash, I mostly shitpost, a lot of politically incorrect stuff, occasionally post art which is always posted here first anyway, but yeah, in case anyone is wondering that's also the only reason Jaeriel is absent, I'd have included her otherwise, but as this is for my personal twitter I don't want to drag down Slade and Rayn's reputation with my own.

Anyhow yeah, that's that, hope ya'll like it, I'll try to get back into action, update Dubious Encounters more regularly, and post more stuff, it's been a little hard lately, but I'm trying. ;w;
