Hardworking- Sylas is willing to work to exhaustion to prove to his former gang that they had kicked out a valuable member.
Protective- To those he's close to and trusts well, Sylas will do whatever he can to make sure they're safe and doing well, even willing to go as far as putting his life on the line to save theirs.
Reliable- Sylas is the type of person to stay 100% true to his word when it comes to making and keeping promises, and if he's asked to help out with something, he'll make sure that he helps the best he can, and that he does it right.
Caring- Sylas is actually quite kindhearted when it comes to his friends, and sometimes even to recruits he doesn't know. His tough exterior can be broken surprisingly easily.
Competitive- Sylas enjoys a good challenge, and will do whatever he can to make sure he ends up on top... or at least as close to the top as he can get.
Set in his ways- Sylas is the type to stay strong to his beliefs, habits, and opinions, and he's very often unwilling to change them.
Brave- Sylas is incredibly courageous, to the point where he can get himself into some pretty sticky or dangerous situations if he isn't careful.
Grumpy- Sylas isn't usually in a "good" mood, and is even more rarely seen smiling genuinely. While he's far less aggressive than he used to be, he still has a short temper and won't hesitate to snap back if provoked. He's also not the friendliest person in general, and usually responds with short sentences in a conversation.
Emotionally closed-off- Due to his unpleasant past, Sylas is afraid to show any signs of emotional vulnerability. He's especially afraid to cry in front of other people due to a particular past experience.

Bio:
Sylas was born out in the wild, in a rather large pack of both Scrafty and other Scraggy. He was welcomed happily into the pack, along with the other newly-hatched Scraggy, and everything was just perfect...
well, almost perfect.
Sylas was the unfortunate runt of the bunch, and was unusually weak and frail for a Scraggy. The Scrafty in the pack kept a watchful eye over him to make sure he didn't seriously injure himself... and to make sure that he could prove himself to be worthy of staying in the pack. Determined to prove himself, Sylas tried picking fights with the other Scraggy, in hopes that he would build up his strength, and maybe even eventually become one of the strongest in the pack.
His plan... didn't work.
He ended up severely injured on his head during a fight with a particularly aggressive Scraggy, and fainted a few seconds after the impact. When he came to, the leader was standing over him with a disappointed look... and he was told that he couldn't stay in the pack.
Having been exiled, Sylas had nowhere to go. He wandered around on his own for a few days, until he was stopped by a strange Pokémon, who asked him if he wanted to join a new "pack": Team Rocket. Wary but happy to be getting another chance, he accepted the invitation, and has been in Team Rocket ever since.
