AKA Lake of 10 peeksMoraine Lake was once the view on the Canadian $20 bill for 30 years or so. Most Canadians don't know that actually
14 km east of Lake Louise, Alberta in the Canadian Rocky Mountains
This lake wasn't even discovered till almost 1900 when they were mapping the route for the Transcontinental Railroad.
Behind the first mountain on the left there is a glacier.

Are those mountains really blue or it's just effect of some play with colours?

Its actually the haze that's blue. In summer and early fall the heat makes a haze and these mountains are so big that actually its a long way to them and it lets the haze show up blue like this. I have also edited out the blue in this pic but I have 5 versions of this same photo and don't want to post them all

Looks so beautiful, I really wish I had been to visit Moraine Lake when I visited Canada. the colour of the water is breath taking and I like the way you can just see a slight paret of the glacier behind the first mountain that you have mention in your artists comments.
