A wip screenshot of a painting I'm working on. I thought I would show my layers because it might help other people....Or not....Who knows.Will be scrapped later.
(My layers don't usually take up that much room XD It's just expanded so YOU can see them!)

Very Cool, Thanks to you, I have now been learning to use lots of layers, and i am alot better at shading now, so this looks great.... i usually do the background on one layer, then the orca or what ever is on another like, 12, the most i ever gotten to was 18... i like this though.

Yeah I love seeing how other people work, so thought I would show my own.
And really...that's NOT a lot of layers for me. It's not unusual for me to end up with 50-100 layers... Oops XD

I tend to add multiple colors to my layers. For example, having the belly color and eyes on the same layer.
If I'm shading I tend to add multiple sub-layers. It tends to make me feel less lazy about my shading.

I just use the brush tool, and lower the opacity of the brush while I'm shading
