Athena2004 - 2009
Something I started ever since I heard that Athena had passed away. I had it sketched up, then couldn't find the motivation to finish it.
Then I saw *Chaotica-I 's dedication to her and got inspired. And *Chaotica-I also mentioned that she would like to see my picture of her, and I know how much Athena meant to her, so I decided to finish it.
So really, it was started for my own reasons, but finished for

It's not certain when she died or the cause of death. She passed away in the 2008/2009 off season of the park, probably around Spring 2009.
Kiska unfortunately hasn't had a good run with her calves. She's had 5, including Athena, and her longest living calf was Hudson, being 6 at his death. There was a calf that only lived 2 months, and the rest passed at 4years of age.

Really unfortunate that she is having a hard time with the calves, it should also be vey sad for her to lose all of her babies. I hope one day she'll get a good and healthy calf that will grow old with her. Unfortunately the best die youngest

This so so wonderfully done, I can't get over the eye in the bottom one! You've done an amazing job capturing her here, it is so vibrant and alive, just like she was.
