Ayee Gaster is back Ya'll. I really had a lot of experimenting with this one since I had never done transparent fabric before. I wanted to capture that emotion of accomplishment when Gaster realized he had created life in a way, but then the cold realization of what that would mean for his new creation. Its an idea I've had for a very long time, but I've never executed until now. I believed the transparent fabric would helpless he felt to what he had to do in that moment, much like the babies in the tubes.This is based on 's AU, so go check that out of course.

Wow, this is so detailed and realistic! I'm impressed by the amount of work and care you put into making his bones realistic. You even made the fabric drape naturally over his bones, whereas a lot of artists draw clothed skeletons as if they had flesh to fill the clothing out.
His pose is great - it carries on the grand Handplates tradition of saying a lot without showing his face. The combination of victory, defeat and dread is tangible; he's done something amazing, and he's proud and relieved that it worked, but now the horrors that lie ahead are all the more real to him.

The tanks are glowing with fluorescent light, artificial light. And the glow is from his soul in his chest.

why the gaster glow then

Because he is giving his soul energy into the young Papyrus and Sans, it's why their little souls are glowing and he's touching the tanks. The idea was to show how exposed, helpless and exhausted Gaster is, almost like the developing fragile children in the tanks.
