Quick one hour torso study, I want to make sure my artwork is an even balance with illustrations and studies. That way I can have lots of portfolio pieces, but I can still be creative and have fun with my paintings. Enjoy! Critique is always welcome!---

I feel like you're getting better at showing muscle definition in a more subtle way just comparing this torso study to the last one you did with Nestorious. It also looks like you're getting better at using minimal colours/brush strokes to create shapes and depth. Since this is just a study I don't think this is a major concern, but I'd be careful about how much curve you put into the spine and shadow under the rib cage. I'm unsure if this was done with a model or from references, but the studies look like the person whom the torso belongs to has their chest puffed up.

I think for my next study I'll experiment with male torsos again, at least coloring them, and we'll see how that goes. Thanks for the feedback as always!
