Description
No video this week, you'll have to settle with studies for now. I've been working mighty hard on college and I've got things to do. But studies mustn't fall behind, I make lots of these on the regular, and I want to post more of them to encourage others to take time to purely study form and values. I cannot emphasize enough how much studies/studying matters when it comes to art. It's equally important to drawing every single day, you will improve.I wish I could show you/tell you more about these characters, they mean a lot to me but for now you'll have to make due with them being simply displayed as models. Feedback/criticism on my form is always welcome!
Edit: I hate having to even say this, but just because these models are bare, that does not make them a Base. To reiterate, These are not bases, do not repost/trace/edit them in any way, that is theft.

After seeing your previous piece get critiqued by Istebrak I feel that some of the same issues with the face from your Diane portrait are present in this piece as well; namely the size/shape of the visible eye and eyebrow being too large for the angle of the face. I think a minor tweak with the size and brow arch are all that's needed however.
I know you're far more concerned about the torso anatomy at the moment rather than the facial structure though. I think it's just the way the shorts are painting on over the portrait but they make it look like some of those leg volume issues are back with the left leg appearing thinner than the other. The rest of the proportions are looking good though.
It's a shame you had to paint a censor over the original portrait because we lose all kinds of details like the oblique muscle/hip bone which I know you worked hard to figure out.
Over all I think the study turned out really well, fingers crossed that you can maybe get torso feedback from Istebrak next time. Keep up the great work!

I'm going to be doing more of these for certain, for sure I really hated to have to censor these, since the painted over clothing obscure a lot of forms I worked on, as well as present lots of anatomy issues that were not there before. More practice in the future and I'll get better at painting over clothing I'm sure.
The greatest thorn in my side when it comes to drawing is the 3/4 view, I mess it up every single time. I need to really bleach that issue out somehow.
Thanks for the feedback as always!

I used many references and did lots of studying for this piece, I had to look up diagrams/do prestudies and sketches for this piece.
