The officer knelt beside Ororo, bio-pulse taser at the ready, and reached for the purse which she still clutched. Unzipping it, he stuck the taser inside the bag. He squeezed the trigger down completely. The bag seemed to glow with electrical energy. He released the trigger. The glow faded, only to be replaced with the smell of burnt plastic. Any electronic device Ororo had carried in it was now rendered useless. He grabbed her by her left shoulder and rolled her onto her back. He pulled her head up by a handful of hair, putting her torso into an upright position. Taser still in his hand, he unzipped her dress with his free hand. He pulled down the sleeves of her left arm, then her right, so that the top of her dress was now turned inside out and draping in her lap. Next he removed her earrings and necklace. He nonchalantly dropped her head, then stood, her head resting on the pavement between his legs. He walked over to her feet. Her sandals were yanked off, then her dress was seized by the officer as he slipped it over her legs and feet. Ororo, now stripped to her bra and panties, remained unaware of it all. He gathered her handbag, dress, jewelry, and sandals. Walking to the van he opened the back door. An open steel footlocker was stuffed with her belongings, its lid shut and locked with a keypad afterward.
