I'm not scared of heights but. would be terrified of diving into any pool from a height of even 1 metre,Β let alone from the 125th floor, which is 456 metres from the ground!!Β Β

It's worth a visit, although a long flight from the US (only 7 hours from UK). I don't normally like cities but Dubai is amazing. Each building left me in awe, especially the Burj Khalifa and all are so different from anything you have seen before. One reminded me of a chunk of the Swiss Emmental cheese (the one with the holes in!) Thanks for commenting.

Of course! Well no actually, the lift was incredibly fast so I decided it was the better option. At one minute to get to floor 125 v heart attack .. which Β would you choose?! π

The view from the bottom of the Burj Khalifa is indeed stunning, especially at night when there is a light show which lights up the whole building in time to music. Watch this space!!!

My town, Larnaca, is on it`s way, to becoming a modern city with higher buildings.
The most recent project will be 22 floors.Β Gradually the old town will disappear.
At this moment, all I can hear is drilling machines.

Thanks for the comment. Yes the Burj Khalifa standing at 828 metres tall is a giant. It felt scarily high and we didnβt even go to the top! Incredibly there is another building under construction in Dubai, which would dwarf even the Burj Khalifa and is expected to be around 1km high! Where will it end?! π

Thanks for the wow! Incredibly there are many more floors above but think tourists are only allowed to go up to 148! Yes, been out of action on dA for a while. First tied up with preparing for a family Christmas and then preparing for our holiday to South Africa and Dubai. So much to do and couldnβt concentrate on dA.Β
