I think this one was perhaps just a barn but the location was fantastic; at about 1500 metres in the Swiss Alps. I imagine there was an even more superb house very close to this barn.

You have a point there but I, for one, would prefer a nicely sprung mattress to sleep on; rather than a bed of straw!!

But I've actually slept on a mattress of straw. That is very warm and comfortable. You can try once.

Oh I believe you and 50 years ago I may have relished the adventure of sleeping on straw but now my old bones like their creature comforts and if the straw mattress happened to be at floor level then my dodgy knees would complain, not to mention the back!!
